Nice to be back on my home turf, especially when I have it to myself. I'm never happier then rock-hopping the shoreline, tripod in hand, and the Cove is looking as good as the last time I saw it, in December. I didn't have the wide angle with me, so this will have to do.
As the weather warms, people will be swarming here, making a shot like this impossible until October. Across the lake, on the horizon, the Sierra crest and Desolation Wilderness remain snowbound.
Gotta love East Shore...

Just combing through my archives and ran by another one of Lake Tahoe that I wanted to post. I had the entire beach to myself on this day. What a treasure! Note the contrast of this windy day with 3-ft waves to the calm day with flat waters in my previous post as shown below. This lake has amazing changes in color and mood! |
